Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash that happened in the area of East Philadelphia Avenue and Madison Street around 8:47 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18.

Police said two vehicles crashed at the intersection, however, police do not yet have enough information to determine the cause of the crash, Boyertown Police Chief Barry Leatherman said Wednesday.

“We had some people who claimed to be witnesses who were on foot in the area, what we would really like is if someone was behind one of these vehicles, they could give us a statement,” Leatherman said. Anyone who may have witnessed the crash should call police at 610-369-3050.

Police said both drivers initially told police they were not injured, however, both were transported to a local hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
