The holidays will be here before you know it, especially this year when Thanksgiving comes so early! For many local families, special occasions are a stressful time because the adults know that they do not have the money to purchase a Thanksgiving feast or Christmas presents for their children.
Boyertown Area Multi-Service is eager to help these families celebrate the holidays but we need your support. If you would be willing to help with Thanksgiving meals, we are in need of these items: turkeys or turkey breasts, potatoes (instant or fresh), sweet potatoes (fresh or canned), stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce, vegetables, fruits, bread/rolls/muffin mixes, pie filling and pie crust mixes. Any extras you wish to add would be welcome (i.e. butter, beverages, etc.).
All items can be dropped off between the hours of 8:30AM and 2:00PM, Monday through Friday beginning Monday, Oct. 29. However, if you need to make arrangements to drop off food at other times, please feel free to give us a call. Your donation is vitally important to us and those we serve.
If you are interested in sponsoring a child for Christmas, please call Amy Davies at (610)367-6957 to receive a personalized wish list for your child and a letter explaining drop off dates and other details.
If your family is currently experiencing financial hardship and is in need of assistance this holiday season, please contact Amy Davies at (610) 367-6957 as soon as possible. Proof of residence, social security cards and proof of income will be requested.
Each year we have the privilege of facilitating as members of this community step up to meet the needs of those that are less fortunate. We look forward to seeing the true spirit of the holidays at work again this holiday season.
