The Pine Forge 12U girls softball team completed their fall season by going undefeated in the Tri-County League. The girls finished with a perfect record of 10-0. Pine Forge cruised through the regular season by winning six straight games.
Pine Forge then participated in the season-ending double-elimination tournament held at Norristown Nov. 9 and 10.
Pine Forge kept up their winning ways by defeating Methacton in the opening game by a score of 9-2. The second game was another convincing win over nearby competitor Daniel Boone by a 8-2 score.
That win moved Pine Forge into the winners bracket final where they won a hard-fought battle over Stonersville, 8-7. Pine Forge again met Stonersville in the championship game and this time they came out and scored early and often to an easy 9-1 victory to gain the championship trophy.
The girls were coached by head coach Darren Moran and assistants Mike Jones, Dennis Ferguson, Glen Weber and Bill Reice.
