Saturday, Dec. 1
THE BOYERTOWN ALUMNI MARCHING UNIT

To present its 9th annual holiday concert at 7 p.m. at Morning Star Fellowship in Bechtelsville.

Selections include “A Christmas Festival,” “Sleigh Ride,” “A Winter’s Carol,” “Christmas Rock,” “It’s The Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” “God Rest Ye Merry, Gentleman” and “How the Grinch Stole Christmas Medley.”

The concert is free. A goodwill offering will be taken to benefit the Boyertown Area Multi-Service.

PET RESCUE
Almost Home Rescue will be at Pet Valu in Gilbertsville from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. with cats and dogs available for adoption.

DANCE
Ages 35 and up, held from 7:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. at Gilbertsville Fire Company, 1456 East Philadelphia Avenue (Rt73). Admission $10 includes dinner, door prizes, music by “Adam”. Cash bar. For information, contact Kathy 610-404-1898.

DIRECT SALES VENDOR FAIR

From 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Calvary U.C.C., 1231 Route 100, Barto. A variety of party planners are coming together to show off their product. THE BOYERTOWN AREA CHORAL ASSOCIATION

To offer its annual free Christmas concert at 3 p.m. at The Church of the Good Shepherd, located at 35 W. Philadelphia Avenue in Boyertown. This year the group will perform four choruses from the Christmas portion of Handel’s beloved oratorio “The Messiah.” Many choir members of Boyertown area churches have joined BACA to present this well-known work, making the group 70 singers strong for this holiday concert.The second half of the concert will feature a variety of Christmas carols such as “Carol of the Bells,” an arrangement of “Silent Night” sung in German, Spanish, Korean and English, a jazz ensemble arrangement of “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” and an uplifting finale – “Sing We Now of Christmas” by Mark Hayes. The choir is directed by Donna House and Donna Jean Marshall. The concert is free and open to the public.

SIXTH ANNUAL GERMAN CHRISTKINDLMARKT

At the Reading Liederkranz, 143 Spook Lane Reading, PA 19606. This event will be celebrating the start of the Christmas season on the first Sunday in December, second Sunday of Advent. The club will be open from noon until 6 p.m. Food available at Outside Kitchen includes soup, burgers, brats, fries, goulash. Inside Kitchen will be open with a limited menu. There is no admission charge and free parking. The Public is welcome! For more information, call 610-373-3982.

BMBA BREAKFAST

Full Buffet Breakfast $10 per person to be held from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. at Friendship Hook & Ladder Fire Co, 10 Warwick St., Boyertown. Everyone attending is asked to bring at least one wrapped gift to be auctioned off. The gift must contain a tag on the outside giving everyone a hint as to what might be inside. Attendee’s bid on the wrapped items. 100% of the proceeds go to local charities. Berks-Mont Business Association event with everyone invited to attend!

LIONS CLUB
The Boyertown Lions Club weekly meeting will be held Thursday at the Keystone Fire Co., N. Walnut St., Boyertown at 6:30 pm. Our guest will be Ted Maurer speaking on Auctioneering. We are accepting new members in our club. Anyone interested is welcome to come to our meetings or contact Lion Jim Tribbett 610-367-8506.

Friday, Dec. 7
ANNUAL BOYERTOWN HOLIDAY HOUSE TOUR

The tour will begin at the Historical Society Building; it is held from 3 to 9 p.m. This tour will be featuring a mixed array of housing and activities. Tickets can be purchsed in advance for $12 each at Frecon Farms, 501 S. Reading Ave., Twin Turrets 11 E. Phila. Ave., Joe Paws 18 S. Reading Ave., Zimmer’s Pets 51 E. Phila. Ave., Joe Paws Dog Bakery 18 S. Reading Ave. and at the Historical Society. Tickets will be $15 day of tour.

FESTIVAL OF TREES
From 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., enjoy an evening of Holiday Festivities and the beauty of the Christmas Trees donated and decorated by supporters of Multi-Service. Local musicians will present the joyful sounds of the holidays. Free admission. Purchase raffle tickets to take part in the drawings to win a pre-lit tree complete with decorations. This event will be held at the Boyertown Area Multi-Service, Inc. -Center at Spring St., Spring St., Boyertown.

USED BOOK SALE
Held by The Friends of the Boyertown Community Library from 8a.m. to 5 p.m. at Good Shepherd UCC 35 W. Philadelphia Ave. Boyertown, Pa. Bag of Books ($5 a bag).

ZERNS’ OWN “AMAZING RACE”

Register now for a chance to compete against Rachel Johnston & Katie Seamon, stars of Season 17 of “The Amazing Race,” at Zerns from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.Interested teams of two must register by 10 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 1 at the Deal Me In Games stand (246B) at Zerns. ALL YOU CAN EAT PANCAKE BREAKFAST

To be held by the Boyertown Masonic Lodge No. 741 from 6:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Breakfast includes eggs, sausage and a beverage Santa will be making a guest appearance. The lodge is located at 3rd and Jefferson Streets in Boyertown. A donation of $6 for adults and $3 for children under 10 is requested. Proceeds will benefit lodge charities.

CHILLI’ ON MAIN
Join Building a Better Boyertown from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for Santa’s arrival for Chillin’ on Main for a day of family activities. Get your picture taken with Santa. There will be face painting, a Santa’s workshop, entertainment, story time, dancers & more. Groups will be competing in the “Decorate the Parking Meter Contest”. Parking will be available in the Inner Core Lot and in the lots of National Penn Bank, Good Shepherd U.C.C., St. John’s Lutheran Church & The Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles. Come out and join the fun!

YMCA FUNDRAISER

From 6:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., enjoy a wonderful buffet dinner, chance to win great prizes and $5,000. Proceeds benefit the Y’s Golden Rule Financial Assistance Program. The Boyertown Relay For Life “Second Chance at Life” Team will be hosting a fundraiser at Keystone Fire Company from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. This event will have 50+ vendors and crafters that will all have cash and carry items for those doing last minute shopping, or those that start last minute.

BERKS CATHOLIC’S ADVENT VESPERS

To be held at 4 p.m. at Holy Guardian Angel Roman Catholic Church 3121 Kutztown Road, Reading. Start the Christmas season with a musical program of Light, Word and Song featuring the Chorus, Select Choir and Soloists from Berks Catholic High School. Come join us in an afternoon of song and prayer!” This event is free and open to the public.

LIONS CLUB
Jammin’ in B-town will be held at the Keystone Fire Company, N. Walnut St., Boyertown. Music from 1 to 4 pm. Doors open at noon. Admission by donation. All musicians welcome. Food available to purchase. Sponsored by the Boyertown Lions Club.
