HAPPY NEW YEAR! From what we hear, the New Year’s Eve shows were awesome! That’s probably why we are a little light on listings for this weekend. Do not fret, though, because we already have an amazing array of listings for 2013 as local venues are putting their listings up early to get the best local bands available.

2012 was a banner year for WTIM as we listed many more shows than years previous and have been recognized in more venues too. This week my local pick is the Blue Grass Jam at Chaplins, I think this event will be a perfect way to shake out those New Year’s bells that are still ringing in my head.

I’m going to let my love of Southern Rock shine when I pick Dickey Betts & Great Southern for the go to show on the big stages. Rob Thomas at the Borgata is a very close second and for those retro folks out there you might want to check out the show at The TD Bank Arts Center. I guarantee the you will leave “feelin’ groovy …”

Do you want to see your band or venue listed here at WTIM?Send an email to tdietterick@journalregister.com with the particulars (at least two weeks in advance) and we’ll get it out there.
