The thermometer says it’s cold outside, thanks for that. Moving into January our listings are picking up and heating up. WTIM friends No Regrets, Jim Meck and Black Hat Boris are first to check in this year, but we’re sure the rest won’t be far behind.
This week I’m picking Stonesour and Papa Roach over at the Sands. This should be a great place to warm up and enjoy a great show. Locally the Sultans of String will be at Chaplins in what promises to be a divergence from the normal fare and well worth the trip to Spring City.
Speaking of a divergence from the norm, thanks for the note reminding me the Green Day shows have all been cancelled until further notice. I really did know that it was probably just wishful thinking that made me miss last week’s listing. BUT, rumor has it that Green Day may be going back on the road in March!
This news is no rumor though, WTIM friends No Regrets won the recent Battle of the Bands at The Rusty Nail in Ardmore and is waiting for the date of the finals. Justin and the guys have posted video of their performance on facebook go there and check it out and stay tuned WTIM will let you know when the date for the finals is posted …
Do you want to see your band or venue listed here at WTIM?Send and email to tdietterick@journalregister.com with the particulars (at least two weeks in advance) and we’ll get it out there.
