And from the winter’s icy grip we say “Hello February!” and “where’s that ground hog anyway?” If he had any sense he’d be in Florida.

Anyway, we have WTIM friends Chestnut Grove, Middle Class Madness and the ever popular Jim Meck checking in this time. Finally found the listings again for the Shoey Fire Co— the folks up there always run a great party and keep the local bands jamming. We also read that Flux Capacitor will be slamming into the Hard Bean. Whoa, Nice!

On the big stages we have the sounds of Pink Floyd courtesy of The Machine and a Rocky Mountain High courtesy of Mr. John Denver, but the big stage pick of the week has to be 3 Doors Down and Daughtry at The Sands in Bethlehem. This is going to be a rocking show.

Speaking of rocking shows, the local pick is Holy Smoke at Shoey Fire Co. even though all the local shows look awesome. Again we want to express our thanks to all of our local venues that continue to bring music to our area and to all the great local musicians (and I’m always amazed at the quantity and quality) for practicing hard and putting it all out there for our entertainment. Hope to see you all out there soon!

Do you want to see your band or venue listed here at WTIM?Send an email to tdietterick@journalregister.com with the particulars (at least two weeks in advance) and we’ll get it out there.
